CJK Employment Taxation

CJK Employment Taxation was founded by it's Director Colin Keane to specialise in all aspects of Employment Taxation. Colin has over 25 years experience of Employment Taxation which includes: Employment tax efficiency reviews, dealing with HMRC audits and aspect checks, advice on tax efficient termination payments, compliant and efficient payments to consultants and contractors, payroll benefit and expenses processes,procedures, returns and tax efficiencies. Travel and subsistence efficiencies, employee reward and recognition programmes, construction industry scheme (CIS), short term business visitors, car schemes, all types of salary sacrifice schemes and arrangements, vendors, purchaser and financiers due diligence projects. Providing training on all of the above. Colin is a Senior member of the CBI Employment Taxation Sub Committee and a founder member of the PAYE In Industry Group. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CTA) and a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) .

Prior to setting up CJK Employment Taxation in December 2011 Colin was a Senior Director with Alvarez and Marsal Taxand UK LLP in London. Before that for 3.5 years Colin was a Director in PwC’s Employment Solutions team in London with particular emphasis on the Financial and Construction sectors. Before PwC Colin was Head of Operational and Employment Taxation at Barclays for 6 years running a team dealing with all the group’s issues in those areas. Before that he managed the Balfour Beatty group’s Employment Tax matters. Subsequent to that he was at Arthur Andersen. Colin started his tax career as a PAYE auditor with the then Inland Revenue. Colin is unique in the world of Employment Tax having seen and dealt with Employment Taxation issues and challenges from all sides; having pursued employers for Tax and NIC whist working for HMRC, operated in house for two multinational companies and having worked as a professional adviser for two large accountancy firms.
